Steven Spielberg demanded Megan Fox be fired from Transformers

Did Megan Fox jump or was she pushed? With “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” about to be unleashed, the latest reports suggest executive producer Steven Spielberg fired the actress from the franchise following comments about director Michael Bay. At the time, Fox had said it was her choice to leave the blockbuster series, but now Bay has revealed a different story to The Daily Mail: “You know the Hitler thing. Steven said, fire her right now.” The “Hitler thing” dates back to an interview the actress gave last year to Wonderland magazine, where Fox compared Bay to Hitler. Spielberg, it seems, took the most offence at the comment. Following the removal of Fox, British model turned actress Rosie Huntingdon Whitley was cast opposite Shia LaBeouf in the new film. Crew members were quick to defend the director, with an open letter on his website stating: “Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actress' life.

“He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in 'Transformers', a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and ogled women on earth.

“She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina -- second thought she's no Angelina. You see, Angelina is a professional. We know this quite intimately because we've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb as a rock Megan Fox on both 'Transformers' movies.” Bay himself remained relatively quiet on the subject matter himself, but others on set again spoke out to defend him.
